The University of Punjab, also Known as Punjab University, a public Sector research university located in Lahore, Pakistan. Punjab University is the oldest public Sector university in Pakistan.With multiple Sub campuses in Jhelum, Gujranwala and Khanspur, the university was formally established in October 1882. Punjab University has a total of 13 faculties within which there are 83 academic departments, research centers, and institutes. The University of Punjab has ranked first among large-sized multiple faculty universities by the HEC in 2012.
